The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has greeted another hostage released in the Gaza Strip handed over by representatives from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the army press service said in a statement.
"A short while ago, the returning hostage Hisham al-Sayed crossed the border into Israeli territory accompanied by IDF and ISA forces, and he is currently on his way to an initial reception point in southern Israel, where he will be reunited with members of his family," the statement reads.
An Israeli captive was seen kissing a Hamas fighter on the head as he and two others were handed over to the Red Cross in a formal transfer ceremony in central Gaza.
The exchange comes as part of an ongoing deal, with additional captives released earlier in the day and another expected to be transferred soon.
